THE FRIENDS were set up by the Trust in 1998 to enable people who care about Copped Hall to support the Trust and its objectives. Since 1998 the Friends have made a substantial contribution to both the restoration process and also to fund raising. There are now over 1000 friends.

SUNDAY MORNING WORKING PARTIES

Drawn from the Friends, there are about 45 regular volunteers working in various parts. Certain volunteers are attracted to specific areas - for example, the mansion and the walled garden tend to have their own groups. Tea, coffee and excellent home-made cakes are provided by the ladies and the atmosphere is one of much laughter, industry and exchanges of information.

WEEKDAY VOLUNTEERS

This has only got going in 2001 but there are now at least ten regular volunteers that come along in the week and most of these have specific tasks they have chosen.

COACH TRIP

Once a year the Friends organise a coach trip to a country house that has some relevance to Copped Hall. So far they have visited laces such as Knole, Anglesey Abbey, Wimpole Hall, Ickworth. and Stove.
