Copped Hall is the perfect destination for any Car or Motorcycle Club, or indeed any heritage interest group. Situated in one thousand acres of parkland and adjacent to Epping Forest, Copped Hall is a Georgian mansion and a 24 acre estate being progressively restored by volunteers after 80 years of dereliction. It is the perfect location to display your “pride and joy”; the efforts of your own restoration or preservation project.
Not only can we provide you with reserved parking, but your visit will include a guided tour to explore the over 900 years of history of the site, including the existing mansion, gardens and the sites of the previous Medieval, Tudor and Elizabethan houses. There is also the magnificent Walled garden to enjoy. On offer is Tea/Coffee and homemade cakes from our own Refreshment team who also sell seasonal fruit and vegetables from our own gardens.
The Copped Hall Shop provides an excellent opportunity to browse for exclusive books, gifts, or that valued reminder of time spent with us. We also have a second hand book shop selling books at only £1!
The cost of entry is only £10 per person on our regular open days, including the guided tour. Private visits can also be arranged on other weekends and mid week. There is plenty of space to park on, mud-free, level ground on the forecourt. As an alternative, by special arrangement, vehicles can be displayed on the lawns at the rear of the house, conditions of course permitting.
In all circumstances however booking is essential.
How to book
We would be pleased to discuss your particular requirements to ensure that your club has a memorable visit. With so much to see it is an excellent destination for drivers and passengers alike. Booking is essential as the site is not open for ad hoc visits. We will do our very best to secure the dates and times you require to accommodate your party; but an early booking is strongly advised.
We would love to see you.
