Description

Interested in Archaeology? Ever wanted to be involved in a dig? These weekends are for all, from complete beginners to more experienced excavators. You will be given the chance to get hands-on with real archaeology. You will learn all about the methods of archaeological investigation, supervised digging, finds handling and post excavation procedures. Take your chance to join us in our ongoing research into the historic roots of Copped Hall.

These weekends are open to people of all ages from 8 years upwards, provided they are reasonably physically fit. If you are below the age of 16, you will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult who has also signed up for the weekend.

If you are not sure whether these weekends are for you, contact the West Essex Archaeology Group (WEAG, using the details below) to discuss it.   You can also find out what previous attendees thought of the weekends by finding WEAG on Facebook.
