A SNIPPET

In my search of the log of Mr Wythes’ yacht St George, which cost £50,000 in 1910 and carried a crew of 48, I have found that her registered number was 98471 and the First World War Service List records that the yacht was hired
from E.M. Wythes for use as an auxiliary patrol yacht, under a T.97c agreement, for one shilling per Thames measurement ton per month for three months and thereafter for 10 shillings per month, from 3 March 1915 to 7 March 1916 and again from 22 April 1918 to 29 March 1919. Interesting. Should any Friend have ever seen the log or heard of its location please contact me.
