Description

The story linking Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream with Sir Thomas Heanage’s Copped Hall is part of folklore and so we are delighted to announce this performance by East 15. As would have been the case in Shakespeare’s own Globe Theatre, our productions are adapted for and created by the company. This ensemble spirit is a crucial part of our ethos at East 15 Acting School. Now part of the University of Essex, East 15 was founded over 65 years ago by Maggie Bury to train actors in the tradition of Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop Company at the Theatre Royal Stratford, London.

We are delighted to bring you A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Hannah Miller, in which our actors, who have been training together for the last 2 years, use all their individual and collaborative company skills to present a thrilling production. Early booking is recommended.
