Education

One of the main purposes of the Trust is Education. The restoration of the Mansion although in itself an educational project, our activities extend much wider. In addition to our comprehensive primary school educational programme, we run a wide range of study days, ranging from Drawing Classes, Wildlife and photography and Astronomy, to key lectures on history and conservation matters. The Trust have also been assembling an archive on Copped Hall and its estate and covers all aspects – including architectural details, planting, information on the people involved, etc. A collection of Copped Hall related items is also being assembled using a dedicated Acquisitions fund and the Archaeology project is a major educational undertaking.

Certain Trustees and Friends regularly give lectures on Copped Hall to local interest groups and the Trust has been happy to share their experience with regards to the saving of historic landscape and buildings
